ordinance-no-3970 is a municipal ordinance adopted by the city-of-miami on April 19, 1950, which amends Section 1601 of Chapter 16, Part IV of 1935-miami-dade-building-code (Ordinance No. 1554) and its amendatory ordinance no 2471 (p. 345).
The primary purpose of this ordinance is to expand the boundaries of fire-zones, specifically adding new land areas to Fire Zone Number 1 (p. 345). The expansion includes areas bounded by ne-2nd-avenue, Northeast Thirteenth Street, Northeast Twentieth Street, and various additions such as west-bay-side, bay-view-addition, rural-home, ridgeview, west-edgewater, park-place, pomelo-park, halcyon-heights, flagler-park, western-boulevard-tract, and west-broadmoor (p. 345-346). The boundary extends to biscayne-bay and northeast thirdy sixth street (p. 346).
This ordinance was recommended by the city-planning-board-of-miami via Resolution No. 2261 on December 12, 1949 (p. 345). It was signed by Acting Mayor robert-l-floyd and attested by City Clerk f-l-correll (p. 346). Violations of the ordinance provisions are punishable by a fine up to $500 or imprisonment up to 60 days (p. 346).
