The City Planning Board of Miami is a municipal body within the City of Miami responsible for urban planning recommendations. In December 1949, the board unanimously passed Resolution No. 2261, recommending the extension of Fire Zones Number 1 by adding specific areas to the zone (p. 345). This recommendation led to the adoption of Ordinance No 3970, which amended the 1935-miami-dade-building-code to formally expand the fire district boundaries (p. 345).
