It is referenced in the 1935-Miami-Dade-Building-Code_p325_344 document as part of the legal description defining the boundaries of fire-zones, specifically Fire Zone Number I.
According to 1935-miami-dade-building-code Ordinance No. 2471 (1941), the subdivision’s blocks and lots are used to delineate the perimeter of the fire zone, which restricts the erection of new frame structures to reduce fire danger. The ordinance traces boundaries along the west and south lines of lots in Blocks 4, 5, and 11 of the subdivision, intersecting with streets such as Northwest Ninth Street and Northwest Eighth Street Road, and adjacent to the seybold-canal and miami-river (p. 341-342).
