Alexander Orr, Jr. served as the Mayor of the city-of-miami during the early 1940s. He signed 1935-miami-dade-building-code Ordinance No. 2471 on March 26, 1941, which amended the building code to expand fire-zones by adding new areas to Fire Zone Number I (p. 344). The ordinance was attested to by City Clerk frank-j-kelly (p. 344).
