The avenue marks the eastern limit for a section of Fire Zone No. 1, beginning at a point 110 feet east of its east line on the north line of south-bayshore-drive (p. 92). The zone boundary runs parallel to the avenue, traversing various subdivisions including Natoma Manors, Oceola Highlands, and Lawrence Estate, before turning east along NW 7th Street (p. 92–93). The boundary eventually loops back to the avenue, running parallel to its center line through areas like Espanola Heights and Natoma Park, finally meeting the fire limit line of SW 17th Avenue near SW 27th Avenue (p. 93).
It also serves as a western boundary for the Fire Zone No. 1 area defined along south-bayshore-drive, where the zone extends eastward from the avenue’s fire limit line (p. 104). This positioning highlights its role in delineating areas subject to strict fire-separation-standards and construction type restrictions.
